The Amilkar School of Magic's aim is to train both beginners and initiated magicians as well as to hold thematic seminars about specific classic or modern authors of any specialty except great illusions for which the school is not fitted yet for lack of space.

The classes are private and individualized, aimed at going deeply into the student's personality. The latter's abilities of verbal communication and body language are taken into account. The classes are given according to those abilities and suiting the student's necessities, either visually or trying to motivate him/her through emotions so as to stimulate his/her short-term memory and consequently be more objective in the learning.

The course, depending on the specialty, is based on a specific textbook that will be chosen by mutual agreement between the teacher and the student during their first meeting or class. During the first class, the student will be asked to make a magic trick of the speciality he chose so as to determine his/her level and capacity of visual attention making a trick.

In case of not using a textbook, the teacher commits himself to sending by e-mail the trick imparted in each class so as the student can correct mistakes and have, let's say, his own virtual library.

The beginner's courses consist of 15 classes though this should not be taken to the letter as the important for The Amilkar School of Magic are the objectives. Consequently, if a student needed 2 or 3 extra classes, the price of the course would not change.

What really will be taken into account is each student interest and disposition. Therefore, if a student misses 3 classes in a course without justifying it, The Amilkar School of Magic will rescind the commitment due to the volume of students on standby it usually has. If need be, the student will be notified by e-mail or personally. Though, if he/she would like to go on with the classes, he/she would have to pay the proportional amount of the remaining classes.

The Amilkar School of Magic will give its students a receipt of the amount paid at the beginning of the course, valid for one year for a discount on the SEI-ACAI (Spanish and Catalonian Magic Circles) admission fee, but not the annuity. In case the student who has finished a course wanted to become a member of this association, he only needs to show that receipt as The Amilkar School of Magic would answer for the would-be member since he/she has been trained to pass the exam required for membership.

Every now and then, some private performances will be held in The Amilkar School of Magic. The students will be warned by e-mail and will have the authority to contribute disinterestedly and with no kind of discrimination. The only aim is to provide the most outstanding and exceptional student with a real experience in front of a real audience.
