I remember that my first steps were complete plagiarisms of a man who later became a great friend and wonderful teacher who I will never forget. It is no more no less than PEPE CARROLL.

Little by little, under the supervision and wise advice of the person who was my teacher in the SEI (Spanish Magic Circle), Mr Pablo Domenech, I was moulded and taught how to choose my own magic tricks and how to adapt them to my sarcastic, ironical and a little cocky personality. In other words, the perfect card-shaper. I have always loved those kind of presentations and atmospheres.

PABLO DOMENECH, accomplished gentleman as few, knew my sensibility and social position and always treated me with affection, correcting me aside of all the other students so as not to hurt me and as he knew that my scattered mind would pay him more attention. Years later, when I devoted myself to magic professionally in the Llantiol, he always took me aside only because I was a professional and not to damage my image in front of the others in the magic circle. He taught me to be both better person and better magician.

When working in the Llantiol with Pepe Carroll, I gained experience and stage presence and was even suggested by the poet JOAN BROSSA for the SEBASTIA GASH award. I saw Pepe Carroll grow artistically and professionally and we stroke up a great friendship which was transferred to Madrid, after my obtaining the NATIONAL PRIZE FOR CARD MAGIC in Oviedo in 1987.

In Madrid, it was all an adventure between two friends who were seeking a way of getting on in the magic show business in the neuralgic cradle of magic. There was also the great master ASCANIO, Tamariz's first teacher, among others, who gave life to Madrid's magic nights, so I decided to move to that city of asphalt but full of enchantment and magic.

I learnt to observe from outside the Tamariz phenomenon and how he set a trend wherever he went. I also participate in the CARDMAGIC DAYS OF THE ESCORIAL, an every year meeting where famous worldwide magicians turn up in order to discuss several subjects of general interest proposed the year before. The entrance of the meetings is controlled by invitations.

After carrying out the functions of Pepe's “personal manager” for a period of 12 years approximately, I came back to my hometown and performed, among other shows, for JAVIER MARISCAL in the presentation of COBI, the Olympic mascot and also for other C.O.O.B. companies. I was granted with the best national recognition a Spanish magician can be granted with: the Pablo Domenech Prize, which values the best work done in a year in close-up magic. I have a pleasant memory of Pablo who showed me in that moment a lot of affection.

Later on and at the time I was making all kind of performances, I was a shop assistant with MARKO in a Barcelona magic shop, ENIGMA, where I started to give my first particular group lessons in a room specially built for that purpose. The year 1994 was coming.

Since then, I have been teaching in the S.E.I (Spanish Magic Circle), that is the reason why I decided to inaugurate my own School of Magic:
